iPhone 4G Pre-Orders and iOS 4 Release Date : AT&T Canceling Pre-orders

After the pre-ordering pandemonium a few days back. AT&T is somehow bringing back the experience but this with a different stroke, by canceling random pre-ordered unit of the sought after iPhone 4G.

On its AT&T letter to customers, the US telecom giant apologizes to its customers to another mess which they did not wish to happen.

As quoted,
“Your iPhone order has been cancelled.

Your credit card has not been charged.

If you believe you have received this email in error, please return to the AT&T store where you placed your order.

Sincerely,

AT&T“

This was the letter AT&T sent to selected customers whom pre-orders to the new Apple phone has been cancelled. Previously AT&T also apologies to customers after its on-line store crashed right after it opened for public for pre-ordering. Though most of the on line shoppers got nixed, still AT&T was able to booked 600k of units to (darn) lucky clients. But to the unlucky ones, they were advised to visit the nearest Apple stores in their area on June 24 for the said units (same happened to the cancelled pre-orders) of which the phone will launch officially on the public market.

Skeptics are already wary of the thought that seem like Apple is bringing AT&T to a bad light after a couple of hurdles the telecom has faced in the past few weeks, including the breaching incident which allowed hackers collect list of high profile emails of early adapters of Apple’s iPad.

As frustration builds up after the following incidents, this duo (Apple and AT&T) have created so far. None of it will matter as soon as stores will be open on June 24 for those unlucky to get their hands of the sought after unit from Apple. Yet for now, all we have to do is wait.
