Louisiana – After evacuating all the ships that are doing a clean-up operation on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the state of Louisiana was forced to declare a state of calamity. After the impending problem storm Bonnie is about to unleash in the Gulf Coast.
Engineers of the petrol giant British Petroleum (BP) has recently secured that the oil from the well wont leak. The well is securely sealed with the containment capped installed previously by BP on the gushing oil well.
‘While this is not a hurricane, it’s a storm that will have probably some significant impacts, we’re taking appropriate cautions,’ retired US Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen.
Storm Bonnie which already caused floods in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen also added, that even though he knew that delay of the clean-up operation (to resolve the oil spill dilemma) is eminent, still the main priority of the operation is the safety of the people who are doing the clean up. “After the storm’s passage we will be right back out there,” US government front man of the operation Coast Guard Adm. Tad Allen quoted.
